Aside from Economy, Indonesia Wants to Manage Peacekeeping Mission Cooperation with Togo

New York, USA: Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi held a meeting with Permanent Representative of Togo on the sidelines of the UNSC Open Debate on UN Peacekeeping Mission in New York, USA (3/27).

Foreign Minister Retno affirmed Indonesia's strong commitment to improving economic cooperation with Africa.

"For that purpose, Indonesia will host Indonesia-Africa Forum in April 2018," she said.

Another potential area of cooperation is the peacekeeping mission. As one of the largest troop contributing countries, Indonesia is ready to cooperate with Togo in peacekeeping forces.

As an emerging country, Togo considered Indonesia as having great potential to improve economic cooperation with African countries.

Togo appreciated Indonesia's great contribution to the promotion of peace and security especially through the role of the Indonesian peacekeeping forces in various UN missions in Africa.
