Burkina Faso Appreciates Indonesia’s Great Role in Peacekeeping Forces

New York, USA: Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi met with the Permanent Representative of Burkina Faso on the sidelines of the UNSC Open Debate in New York, USA (3/27).

Foreign Minister Retno emphasized Indonesia's commitment to working with Burkina Faso and other African countries. "This commitment is the basic position of Indonesia since the 1955 Asian-African Conference," she added.

Burkina Faso appreciated Indonesia's immense contribution to the promotion of peace and security especially through the role of the Indonesian peacekeeping forces at the UN.

This opportunity was also used by Foreign Minister Retno to inform Indonesia's plan to host Indonesia-Africa Forum in April 2018 as a concrete step to strengthening Indonesian-African economic cooperation. (Source: Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
